It's A Double
Major League Baseball players Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn left the game in 2001. But their on-field feats will never be forgotten. Last Tuesday, Ripken and Gwynn were elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, in Cooperstown, New York. Both received among the highest percentages of votes in Hall of Fame history.
Ripken played shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles. Gwynn was an outfielder for the San Diego Padres. Though both players were outstanding on the field, their sportsmanship truly set them apart. "It's an unbelievable feeling to know that people think what you did was worthy," Gwynn says.
