The U.S. swim team made a splash at the world championships in Melbourne, Australia, last week. Americans shattered 10 world records.
Michael Phelps, 21, broke three solo world records. He is the first swimmer to finish under 1 minute and 44 seconds in the 200-meter freestyle.
Natalie Coughlin, 24, won the 100-meter backstroke in 59.44 seconds. She slashed .14 seconds off her previous world record.
Aaron Peirsol, 23, won the top prize in the 100-meter backstroke for the third year straight. The Olympic hopeful beat his own world record, touching the wall in 52.98 seconds.
