Constitution Day

September 17 is Constitution Day. On that day 220 years ago, 39 men signed the Constitution of the United States of America. In 2004, President George W. Bush issued a proclamation to officially recognize the historic day. Now kids study the Constitution in school every September 17.

This year, former Baltimore, Maryland, teacher T.S. Grant will recite from memory the entire Constitution and all 27 amendments! The event takes place at noon (EST) at the National Constitution Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To join in the celebration, go to www.constitutioncenter.org/constitutionday.
