Swimming with Sharks

Filmmaker Rob Stewart is taking a bite out of the big, bad shark myth. His movie Sharkwater, in theaters November 2, shows that sharks are not sea monsters. The ocean's top predators are amazing creatures that need our help. Each year, about 100 million sharks are illegally killed for their fins, which are eaten or used as medicine. Stewart hopes his film will heighten awareness before sharks become endangered. "We can save them as long as people know what's going on," he told TFK.
