A Race over Ice and Snow
Lance Mackey and his dogsled team basked in cheers and ap-paws on March 12, after winning the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Mackey and his team finished the grueling 1,100-mile trek across Alaska, from Anchorage to Nome, in nine and a half days. Mackey's second consecutive Iditarod win follows a victory in last month's Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race.
