5 Questions For Lynne Cherry
Meet the coauthor of How We Know What We Know About Our Changing Climate
1 Your book sees climate change as a mystery. Why?
Scientists are detectives searching for evidence to solve the mystery of Earth's climate history through clues in ice cores, mud cores and tree growth rings.
2 Can kids help the environment?
Kids can write to officials asking them to pass laws to make cars more energy-efficient.3 What other steps can we take?
Recycle everything you can. Buy and eat locally produced food or grow your own. Go by bike, bus or train instead of by car. Buy less stuff.
4 Will you celebrate Earth Day?
Earth Day will be my first day of filming my new movie! I'll be celebrating by asking kids how they are helping their families to conserve.
5 Do you have any habits that are bad for the environment?
No, but I have lots of good habits. I always carry reusable containers with me for takeout or leftovers. I always say "no straw" when I order a drink. I never buy bottled water. And I don't eat meat.
