Spotlight: Lil' Romeo

He likes to watch cartoons, shoot hoops, and play with his dog. After all, says Lil' Romeo, "I'm a laid-back, regular kid." Well-not quite! The 12-year-old son of famous rapper Master P is traveling on his very own U.S. concert tour. Lil' Romeo is busy singing songs and promoting his hit CD Lil' Romeo.

The straight-A student writes many of his own tunes. He cowrote "My Baby." The song shot to the top of the charts, making Lil' Romeo the youngest solo artist ever to have a Number 1 single. Lil' Romeo says the best part of his job is "seeing the fans happy." He hopes to one day have yet another job: "I want to play basketball in the NBA."
