Kid Reporter Machaela Jensen in St. Paul
There was an amazing event going on at the Xcel Energy Center last week. It wasn't a hockey game. It was the Republican National Convention, and I was there! There were signs greeting attendees everywhere in St. Paul. But the real action was on the floor of the center. Delegates milled about wearing funny hats and pins. I even saw a man dressed as Abraham Lincoln. I interviewed delegates from around the country and leaders of the Republican Party, including Newt Gingrich, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives. First Lady Laura Bush told me that she is proud that there is a woman running for Vice President.
