Pete Pizza
In the past 10 years, school lunchrooms have sliced the fat from pizza. You and an adult helper can try this nutritious pizza recipe at home. It's as easy as pie!
IngredientsRefrigerated whole-wheat pizza dough
1/3 cup chopped onions
Ohm teaspoon garlic powder
Ohm cup tomato paste
3 tablespoons water
Ohm teaspoon each of salt, basil and dried oregano
1 dash each of ground pepper, marjoram and thyme
1Ohm cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1. Place dough in a 12- to 14-inch pizza pan.
2. In a pot, stir together all ingredients except dough and cheese. Simmer sauce for 15 minutes.
3. Sprinkle ae cup of shredded cheese evenly over dough. Spread sauce over cheese. Top with remaining cheese.
4. Bake at 475()()F for 15 to 18 minutes, until crust is lightly browned.
