Debating the Issues
Where do the candidates stand?
Who should be President: John McCain or Barack Obama? To make that important decision on November 4, voters need to know where each candidate stands on the important issues facing the country.
On September 26, McCain and Obama faced off in their first debate. They fielded questions about the economy and national security. Vice-presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin were set to meet on October 2. Two more McCain-Obama matchups are to follow on October 7 and 15. Then, voters have 20 days to judge the candidates' performances.
