Winter has set in early and hard in some parts of the country. Last week, heavy snow pounded the southern plains. Even parts of Texas and Oklahoma got buried under a record 10 inches of snow.
Harsh weather also hit parts of the Midwest. "I’m sick of shoveling," said Mitch Thorp, 13. His town of Willmar, Minnesota, got 30 inches of snow in two days.
