An Amazing Tale

Winter isn't like other dolphins. She has an artificial tail. In 2005, Winter's real tail was injured in an accident. She is learning to swim with the artificial one. Winter gives hope to people with disabilities. "We get calls daily about how she's inspiring people," says David Yates of Clearwater Marine Aquarium, in Florida, Winter's home.

Craig Hatkoff and his daughters Juliana and Isabella are sharing Winter's journey in a new book, Winter's Tail. "[Her story]" gave us goose bumps," he says.
