He's the Mayor . . . No Kidding!
Who says teenagers don't get any respect? Not Jeffrey Dunkel, 18. Last week, he was sworn in as mayor of tiny Mount Carbon, Pennsylvania. Dunkel is the youngest mayor in the U.S. today.
Dunkel began attending town meetings for school last year. He often spoke up about problems. "They told me if you think you can do a better job, then run for office." So he did! Dunkel's mom is a town council member. Each Dunkel earns $50 a month.
