Election 2009
Tuesday, November 3, was election day across the United States. And the results are in. New Jersey and Virginia will get new governors. Chris Christie will be New Jersey's first Republican governor in 12 years. In Virginia, another Republican, Bob McDonnell, won the state's top job.
Interviews with voters showed that people are worried about local issues. But the top concern is the weak economy.
In 2010, most governors, a third of the Senate and all members of the House of Representatives are up for election. They are already working on their campaign strategies.
