The View From Hubble
It works! Last week, scientists showed off the first pictures of the universe taken by the Hubble Space Telescope's powerful new camera (see TFK 3/8/02). Top: Two spiral-shaped galaxies of stars headed for a big crash. Bottom: A mountain of gas and dust gives birth to new stars.
