Spotlight: Hayden Christensen

The force is with Hayden Christensen, 21. The Canadian actor plays Anakin Skywalker, the young Darth Vader, in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. In the film, Anakin becomes a Jedi knight and falls in love with Senator Padmé Amidala (played by Natalie Portman).

Christensen has been acting since he was 7. He beat out 442 other actors for the role of Anakin. When he got the part, the 21-year-old actor says he was "just stunned and in disbelief. I called my mom first thing!" Christensen wasn't well known when he auditioned. He will surely be famous throughout the universe once Clones opens on May 16. Production for Episode III begins next summer. It opens in 2005.
