Little League's Star Pitcher
Aaron Alvey, 12, made a striking appearance at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, last month. The powerful pitcher struck out 44 batters and pitched 21 scoreless innings during the two-week tournament. This set two new recordsand helped his Louisville, Kentucky, team win the series! On August 25, Louisville beat Sendai, Japan, 1-0, for the championship. Aaron, who hit a 250-foot home run in the final game, won't take all the credit. "My teammates and I worked hard," he says.
