A Towering Example
Jeff Adams has made it to the top. On September 26, Adams climbed the world’s tallest towerin his wheelchair! He is the first person ever to do so. Adams, 31, reached the top of Canada’s CN Tower in Toronto in just five hours. The Paralympian climbed the 1,776 stairs backward using a special wheelchair. Its rear wheels were designed to move only up. Adams’s uphill climb raised $63,000! The money will help create a program to teach grade-school students about disabilities. Adams hopes his feat will "inspire others to reach for a new level of understanding."
