A New, Old Tale
Last month, a forgotten Pippi Longstocking tale popped up in Sweden's Royal Library. "Pippi Longstocking Celebrates Christmas" had been published in a magazine in 1949. Astrid Lindgren's holiday tale of the redheaded orphan went missing until a librarian found it. Reportedly, even Lindgren's family didn't know about it! The tale may be published again next Christmas.
