So, When's The Election?

That's the question Californians were asking last week. They got a new answer nearly every time they asked.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit to delay the recall election. It claimed that some counties should update their voting methods, or as many as 40,000 votes could be miscounted.

On Monday, a federal appeals court postponed the recall election. The vote, which had been set for October 7, was delayed until March 2, 2004. On Friday, the appeals court decided that an 11-judge panel would rehear the case.

California voters are being asked if Governor Gray Davis (left) should be removed from office and who should replace him. Said Davis on Friday: "Let's just get (this election) over with!"
