Like mother, like son? That's what researchers at Kyoto University in Japan are waiting to find out. Ai, a 23-year-old chimpanzee, gave birth to Ayumu, a male, on April 25. Ai is able to recognize some letters and numbers. Scientists are eager to see if she'll pass that ability on to little Ayumu.
