A Shoe-Shining Example
ALBERT LEXIE has been shining shoes for 46 years. Since 1981, he has given part of his earnings to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Lexie charges $3 for a shoe shine at the hospital. He has given $89,000 to the Free Care Fund, which helps families pay medical bills. "I would like to raise $100,000 by next year," he says.
