A Winning Dog Has Her Day!
Give that dog a bone! Samantha, a 5 1/2-year-old English springer spaniel, won the top prize last week at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City, the most famous dog show in the country. The proud pooch beat about 2,500 canine contestants from 156 breeds and lived up to a family tradition. Her father Robert won the same award in 1993. What's next? "She's going to be a mom one day," said Kellie Fitzgerald, Samantha's handler. Maybe the puppies will inherit Samantha's winning ways!
