Dear TFK...
I agree with the ideas in the article about eating healthy ["We
Can Eat Smarter," 10/31], but it is difficult to eat in a healthy
way when pizza is for dinner. At school, the fruit and vegetable
choices are not made to look appetizing at all, and other choices
are usually breaded and deep fried.

I really enjoyed the article about eating smarter. Ever since I
read it, I have been very careful about what foods I choose for
my meals and snacks. I had no idea that soda pop could be so
harmful. I hope you write more articles concerning everyday life
problems. I really like it when you do.
--Kelvonna G., 10

I can't believe that you can make so much noise and music out of
paper ["The Sounds of Paper," 10/31]. You can produce the sounds
of drums, humming and whistles. Who knew paper was so
interesting? Tan Dun has inspired me. I'm going to make my own
paper instruments.
--Taylor F., 10
Texas
It's amazing that Jared "J.D." Goldstein is only 2 years old and
can hit a golf ball 50 yards ["He's Following Tiger's Trail," 10/31]. I probably can't even hit a golf ball 30 yards, and I'm
8. He must be really good!
