Go, Granny, Go!
Could your grandma walk 10 miles a day for more than a year? Doris Haddock, a great-grandmother of 11, is doing just that! Last week "Granny D," 89, reached the 1,000-mile mark of her 3,000-mile journey from Pasadena, California, to Washington, D.C. She is walking to spread her message that politicians should follow tougher rules for getting and spending campaign money. Granny D began her walk January 1. She stays strong by drinking lots of water and listening to cheers of "Go, Granny!"
