The Play's Her Thing
Some big news awaited kindergarten teacher Margaret Edson at the principal's office on Monday. She had won the Pulitzer Prize for her play, Wit. But Edson is a teacher first, a prizewinning playwright second. When flowers poured in, she used them to teach a lesson about pollination! Interviewed on TV, the Atlanta, Georgia, teacher said this: "If my students are watching, turn off the TV and go read a book!"
