A Tragic Train Wreck In Illinois

Michael Freeman and Caleb McNair wasted no time after the train they were riding last week crashed. The teenagers quickly found a window in the roof of the train and escaped. Then they got busy guiding others to safety. "They started lifting anyone able to make it to that window, including my daughter," said a grateful Dennis Bomgaars of Mississippi.

The train was heading from Chicago to New Orleans when it smacked into a truck that was crossing the tracks in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Eleven were killed and 119 injured. Investigators are trying to find out if the truck driver ignored the flashing lights and closing gates that warned a train was coming.
