Dear TFK...
The way NASA's Spirit spacecraft landed on Mars was really
awesome ["Touchdown!" 1/16]. It's so cool that we can see what
Mars looks like and find out if there was ever life on the
planet. I hope that Opportunity, the other craft, makes it to
Mars too.
--STEPHANIE D., 10
California
NASA scientists must be happy that Spirit is working well.
Imagine if it had traveled 105 million miles and then broken
down. That would be so disappointing! When I get older, I want to
be an astronaut. Maybe I'll be the first person to walk on Mars.
--KATHERINE H., 11
Michigan
I think it's amazing that a bedtime story could be turned into a
book and a movie ["All in the Family," 1/16]. I can't believe
that an 11-year-old girl wrote part of Lionboy. She must be a
very good writer.
--WILL M., 10
Texas
That book about Bhutan costs a lot, even if it is the biggest
book ever made [Spotlight, 1/16]. It's not fair to some people
who don't have a lot of money but still want the book. It should
cost $5.
--KENDALL S., 9
Maryland
