A Whiz Kid With A Clarinet
Sure, she's smart. After graduating from college last May, ALIA SABUR, 14, began work on a Ph.D. in engineering. This month, she enters Drexel University, in Pennsylvania. She is the youngest Ph.D. student in the U.S. But what really makes Alia proud is her clarinet playing. She practices three hours a day and has played with orchestras since she was 11. "It's as big a priority as the Ph.D., " she says.
