He’s the Campaign Kid

This year’s presidential race has taught Robert Hughes, 13, more about politics than most kids will ever know. The eighth-grader has been on the campaign trail since August, studying George W. Bush’s every move. Robert’s mom Karen says, "He’s my detail man." As Bush’s spokeswoman, she thought the election would be a great learning experience. Robert travels with his mom and does homework on the campaign plane. He says his friends back home "think it’s awesome."
