Top 5 States with the Most Electoral Votes
Last week, President George W. Bush and Senator John Kerry focused on winning votes in the country's key states. The states with the most people have the most electoral votes. To win, a candidate needs at least 270 Electoral College votes.
1. California: 55 electoral votes
2. Texas: 34
3. New York: 31
4. Florida: 27
5. Pennsylvania & Illinois: 21 (tie)
