AOL: Apes Online?

Last Monday a 26-year-old gorilla named Koko became the first animal to have a computer chat. Koko knows more than 500 words in sign language. Her trainers translated Koko's answers to some of the 13,000 questions from visitors to America Online. Among the ape's comments: "I like drinks" and "Eat now." The Gorilla Foundation near San Francisco, California--where Koko lives--set up the session.
