A man who used to rock the Wallflowers' Jakob Dylan to sleep won big last week at the 40th annual Grammy Awards. And so did 27-year-old Jakob.
Jakob's dad, legendary folk-rock musician Bob Dylan, 56, took three Grammys home from the music awards, held in New York City. His album Time Out of Mind earned him Album of the Year honors. Jakob's Wallflowers won Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group. Look who's rocking now!
Another folk artist, Shawn Colvin, grabbed two Grammys. The mom-to-be beamed when Sunny Came Homewas voted both Song and Record of the Year.
New artist Erykah Badu won two Grammys. Her first album, Baduizm, won the Rhythm & Blues (R&B) Album prize. Her hit On and On was named Best Female R&B Performance. She told the New York Post that she plans to give a Grammy to her granny!
Will Smith's Men in Black won Best Rap Solo Performance. The actor and rapper strives to be a positive role model. "We have a responsibility for what goes into the ears that listen to the music we make," said the former Fresh Prince.
