Trees Too Ugly to Steal!
Every year thieves chop down and steal wild evergreens to use as Christmas trees. Gerardo Sciarra from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, decided to make the trees less appealing to such Grinches. He invented Pink Ugly Mix, a red spray that turns trees icky pink as it dries. The color wears off after Christmas.
