Scary Mary's Lost Tale
As the story goes, a mad scientist named Frankenstein created the monster. But an Englishwoman with a spooky imagination really dreamed him up. Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein in 1818, at age 21. But she may have had a softer side too. A 39-page children's story about a lost boy, in her handwriting, was just found in Italy. Experts say Shelley may have written it for a friend's daughter.
