This Girl Gets Her Kicks!
Liz Heaston's feet usually dribble a ball across the soccer field at Willamette University in Oregon. But on October 18, they booted a football instead. Heaston kicked two extra points as the Willamette Bearcats crushed Linfield College, 27-0. She's the first woman ever to play in a college football game. The Richland, Washington, native stepped in for the team's injured kicker. "It was a good experience," she says. "But I've got to take care of soccer now!" Her team won its soccer game the next day.
