Spotlight: Joseph Cross
In the upcoming movie Wide Awake, Joseph Cross,11, plays a curious boy who goes on a quest to find God after his grandpa dies. It may sound sad, but Joseph told TFK that his biggest challenge during filming was trying not to laugh!
"There's this really serious scene, and we couldn't get through it without laughing hysterically," said Joseph, who appeared in the Disney Channel's Northern Lights last month. "The director was pretty mad, but I couldn't help it!"
Wide Awake also stars Rosie O'Donnell, who plays his teacher. She brought her trademark Koosh balls to the set so they could play catch between scenes. Who's the better player? "She is," said Joseph. "She's got more experience."
