Spotlight: Chelsea Saville
"Ladies, gentlemen and children of all ages: presenting in Ring One, for the very first time, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's guest clown, Chelsea Saville!" Back home in Layton, Utah, 8-year-old Chelsea never clowned around much--until she won a Ringling Online contest. Chelsea solved a scavenger-hunt puzzle, then her name was selected in a random drawing. The prize: a trip to New York City to perform in the Greatest Show on Earth. On March 20, Chelsea helped entertain a crowd of 16,000 people at the sold-out Madison Square Garden. She received a crash course in comedy and clown makeup from Ringling jesters Jon Weiss and Al Rios. "The secret to clowning," Rios told Chelsea, "is to have fun!"
