An Honest Kid's Big Reward
When a truck carrying thousands of dollars turned over and spilled money on a Miami, Florida, street last month, folks scooped up the cash and hid it from police. But Herbert Tarvin, 11, who picked up 85¢, knew he had to "do the right thing and turn the money in." Why? "Because it doesn't belong to me," he said. He was one of only two to return loose change.
Emptying his pockets paid off: this month Disney and Southwest Airlines rewarded honest Herb with a day at Walt Disney World. He took his family and sixth-grade class from St. Francis Xavier School--all for 85¢.
