Spotlight: Dan Greenburg
What do you get when you combine wacky humor, the supernatural and an adventurous boy named Zack? A zany book series by Dan Greenburg called The Zack Files (Grosset & Dunlap). The main character is based on Greenburg's own son Zack. In each story the fictional Zack has a magical adventure: he travels through his medicine cabinet to a parallel universe; he adopts a cat that turns out to be his great-grandfather reincarnated! The real Zack and his dad are so close, they often finish each other's sentences. "We think it might be ESP," Zack told TFK. Zack loves starring in the books and reading them before anyone else does. The next one, I'm Out of My Body...Please Leave a Message, will appear February 24.
