A Turtle's Wrong Turn
Fishermen found this eastern Pacific green sea turtle cold, hungry and very far from home. He was in Alaska! Green sea turtles are found as far south as Ecuador but never north of California. Experts are trying to figure out how this warm-water turtle ever made it to Alaska. He's now cozy and warm in a 76°F pool at Sea World in San Diego, California. He will stay there until he's well enough to travel home.
