She's No Barbie
Say hello to Sara, Iran's answer to America's popular Barbie doll. Instead of wearing teeny bikinis, Sara is covered head to toe in traditional dress for Islamic women. The original Barbie is not suitable for Islamic girls. Why? "Makeup and indecent clothes," said Majid Ghaderi, who designed Sara. The dolls arrive in Iranian stores next summer.
