Humans Rule At Scrabble
Who is the world's best Scrabble player? Many Scrabble fans thought it was Maven, a computer brain designed to play the 65-year-old word game. But last week man triumphed over machine! Two-time national Scrabble champ Joe Edley defeated Maven, 384 points to 266. "No matter how good you are, you can lose," Edley told TFK. "Luck is involved."
Edley's next Scrabble goal: to play the word ouguiya, a kind of money in Mauritania.
