First Champs In U.S. Soccer
Are you ready for some "futbol"? Futbol is what much of the world calls soccer. Washington United's No. 23, Eddie Pope, was ready, willing and able! He scored the winning goal against the Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer's first-ever championship match on October 20. Says Pope, who headed in the shot in sudden-death overtime: "It was incredible!"
