Shooting For A New Sport
She's famous for her long jump, but now she's brushing up her jump shot. Olympic track star Jackie Joyner-Kersee, 34, signed a one-year contract last week with Virginia's Richmond Rage, one of the new women's American Basketball League's eight teams. A pulled muscle ruined Joyner-Kersee's chance for gold at the '96 Games, but it looks like she's ready to rebound.
