A Gorilla To The Rescue

Visitors to the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago, Illinois, were horrified last month when a 3-year-old boy suddenly fell 18 feet onto the concrete floor of the gorilla exhibit. Gasps turned to cries of delight as 150-pound Binti Jua, a West African gorilla, gently lifted the unconscious boy and brought him to safety. The boy is now fine, and heroic Binti, whose name means "daughter of sunshine," beamed over her reward: 25 pounds of bananas.
