They're Awesome, No Bull!

Are the Chicago Bulls the best basketball team in history? It sure looked that way last week. The Bulls scored their 70th victory of the season. No other N.B.A. team has ever won so many games in one season.

On April 16 the Bulls slipped by the Milwaukee Bucks, 86-80. Even the Bucks fans cheered wildly when the game was over. "What they've done is quite a feat," said Bucks coach Mike Dunleavy.

The Bulls overcame Dennis Rodman's suspension and players' injuries to win 70. They topped the Los Angeles Lakers' record of 69 wins in the 1971-72 season.

The team is celebrating the record, but the Bulls have another goal to meet before they can relax. "This puts our name in history books," said Bulls star Michael Jordan, "but it doesn't have the same effect as winning the championship."
