Spotlight: Jurassic Park - The Ride

The toothy terrors from Jurassic Park are back. And they look hungry! This summer life-size dinosaurs will stalk visitors to Jurassic Park--The Ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

The new six-acre dinosaur land, scheduled to open in May, features a boat ride through Jurassic Park's famous dinosaur habitat. Visitors will cruise right by a pen of vicious velociraptors and a gigantic ultrasaur as tall as a five-story building. They will also hold on for dear life as their boat spills down an 84-foot waterfall.

But it's the fearsome, 50-foot-long T. rex that will scare you silly. The ride's producer, Neil Engel, warns, "If you're lucky, you'll escape!"
