Spotlight: Michael Johnson
Track star Michael Johnson, 28, is making a mad dash for two Olympic gold medals in Atlanta this summer. Johnson is the only man ever to rank No. 1 in both the 200- and 400-meter races. Hehas made a special request that these races not be scheduled forthe same day. Johnson has a rare combination of top speed andstaying power. As a kid in Dallas, "all the kids on my blockwanted to race me," he says, "but no one ever beat me."
