Not even the swiftest Olympic sprinter can keep up with this four-legged crowd. The best a human can do is about 28 miles per hour. That's pokey compared with the top speeds of the fastest land animals:

2. Pronghorn antelope: 61 m.p.h.
3. Lion: 50 m.p.h.
